Billingsley suffers broken leg
According to Ken Gurnick of mlb.com (click here for the article), Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley suffered a “broken left fibula Friday night when he slipped on ice in front of his home”. He had a plate inserted in his leg and is expecting to be in a cast for two weeks. The injury is not expected to prevent him from being ready for the start of Spring Training, however.
Well, that’s good news at least. I’m very high on Billingsley this season and I wouldn’t let this news deter you at this point. If he starts to slip, even just a little bit, in your draft due to this news, do not hesitate to swoop in and grab him. He has the potential to be one of the best in the league once again next season.
