First of all I want to thank everyone for their continued support of Rotoprofessor. Without you none of this would be possible and I truly appreciate it.
With that said, I need your help in improving the site going forward. With the football site getting into full gear (in case you didn’t realize make sure you check that out), I also wanted to see what everyone wanted to see on the baseball side of things. How can we improve our coverage? Is there anything you want to see more of? Is there anything we aren’t doing that you think we should be?
A few ideas may be:
- More frequent ranking updates (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.)
- Daily “Meet the Prospect” articles
- More waiver wire articles
- More news related posts
- More daily posts in general
- More writers offering different opinions
- More contests/giveaways
If one or more of those things appeal to you, or if you have any other ideas, please let us know either in the comments section here or via e-mail (if you’d prefer). I really want to hear what you think will make your Rotoprofessor experience even better, as well as what you really enjoy or dislike from what we are already doing.
Again I want to thank everyone for their support and in advance to your help here. I look forward to hearing what it is that you think about the site and how we can improve.
Sincerely,
Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

•Daily “Meet the Prospect” articles
•More waiver wire articles
less rankings and news, I can get that elsewhere.
What I want is more opinion(right or wrong)and analysis.
A Players injury history would be helpful, that info is hard to find.
Keep up the good work.
Daily “Meet the Prospect” articles is what i think the most valuable cuz we don’t get that much prospect info in general and we can’t see most of them on TV
Rankings are not that important I reckon because it depends vastly on your formats and there are millions of ways you can form your league…
Opinion articles will be good reads, as it give us different views from different types of fantasy players.
Anyway I enjoy the articles here and try to make it a daily visit if I got time. Bravo!
I am also throwing my hat in the ring for the Daily ‘Meet the Prospect’ articles. Along with that it would be great if there was a way to follow the top 3 pitching and hitting prospects from each team. For keeper leagues who follow the minors this will be a HUGE draw to the website. I can’t imagine the format you would use for that but finding a way to update daily how these prospects are doing would really increase the traffic here.
I think there is limited information available for keeper leagues which makes “Meet the Prospect” and your site so valuable.
I will somewhat disagree with other posts and say that I appreciate the rankings because they are helpful for quickly evaluating trades. I just assume you are ranking based on standard leagues and adjust based on my settings. However, it would be nice if they were keeper/dynasty ranking…perhaps monthly.
Another idea is to choose equivalent prospects and do a comparison…such as: Wil Myers vs Oscar Taveras
I find your insights more helpful than any other site I’ve found…keep up the good work.
Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback.
I agree with daily Meet the Prospect columns. Very useful tool for keeper league owners. Keep up the great work, love the site.
Huge fan of the site. I enjoy all of your articles but my favorite is your “take” on the daily news. I can find the news other places but your opinion on such things as if a hot streak is a flash in the pan or something more, if a player will turn it around, and if a youngster is truly developing a “skill” is unparalleled. Keep up the good work and great supporting evidence.
Thanks to everyone who has shared their thought both here and via e-mail! It is much appreciated and I love the feedback. I will have a few announcements tomorrow regarding some of the plans for content going forward, so make sure to check back for that.
In the meantime, I’d love to continue hearing from everyone and what you like, don’t like and what else you’d like to see.
I constantly make this site a stop because of its continual churning of articles of varying natures. Whatever you decide I’ll keep tuning in.
However, I will differ from others in that I am not that interested in daily “Meet the Prospect” articles. Maybe every other day, but every day seems too much. I can get that information from other sites and really, if you’re not in a keeper or dynasty league how many prospects do you truly need to know about that will actually make an impact in the second half? Every other day, not every day, “Meet the Prospect” is my vote.
I would rather read about unheralded, under-the-radar types of players. I want to know about those guys whose names or past have negative/blase connotations, but are actually performing well (like Burnett early in the year). Since I participate in really deep leagues, this information is critical.
The news written here is indeed found in many other places, but I read it nevertheless for the included opinions. I like the trade rundowns, the player featurettes, and of course the trade articles. Don’t lose any of that if you could when you make changes.
Thanks for all the entertaining and interesting reading.
And another thing…
I really don’t like having to click to read more, it wastes my time. I won’t keep clicking back and forth to read articles. there are plenty of other sites that don’t do this. My time is valuable
Then just right-click and select “Open in new tab”. Saves your valuable time valuably.

I couldn’t agree more and that’s why I’ve had this site at the very top of my bookmarks for the past 3 years. It’s invaluable and I read it religiously in-season and frequently in off-season.
That said, I would love to see a daily column much like the daily round-up, but devoted solely to closer performances from the day before, plus insights on potential trades, shifts, trends, etc., basically for all of us who subscribe to the theory, “Never pay for saves.”
The only column like this that I have ever found to be completely satisfying for what I have in mind was http://www.closernews.com, which appeared for a couple of months on the web last year and then went belly-up in the offseason, never to reappear.
The talent and wisdom to put out something like this is already here on this website, but it would be a frighteningly monumental task to put something like that was out on a daily basis. Still, as long as we’re just throwing out suggestions . . . there’s my foremost want, everything else would be secondary.
