Bullpen Notes: April 15, 2017: Rodney Puts Role At Risk, Confusion In Oakland & More

Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):

  1. Josh says:

I noticed Giles pitched the 8th last night, up by 3, and Gregerson pitched the 9th, up by 4. I read a blurb of Hinch saying he had Giles warming up in the 7th when the team was down by 1 but he’s still the closer. How do you view all this? Time to worry? He’s not off to a great start again. Thanks

It’s hard to get a read on that, because it would certainly appear like he’s out. That said teams are being more “creative” with their usage and it could’ve been that there were a lot of LHH up in the 8th type of thing. For now I’d bank on Giles remaining closer
