Thoughts:

  • Is Bumgarner really still a Top 30 option, despite potentially missing 2+ months of action? Just combine these numbers, projected over 140 innings, with a potential fill-in: 3.41 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 144 K and 11 W.  If you focus on getting proper depth in order to fill-in those missing numbers it makes perfect sense to continue targeting him.  When healthy Bumgarner is one of the elite, and he should be a difference maker upon his return.
  • Blake Snell jumps into the Top 40 due to the drop of Jeff Samardzija. That’s going to surprise many, but we’ve talked about him and his upside before.  Make sure to check out why we think he owns breakout potential by clicking here.
  • We previously offered our projection for Luis Castillo, who has the upside to outproduce his current ranking. To check that out click here.

Do you like Semien or Rosario at MI?

What are your thoughts on Mike Clevinger in a 10 team points league? Took him with my last pick hoping for a bit of upside.

    • Rotoprofessor says:

A 10-team league is shallow, but there is upside. Not a bad pick, just wouldn’t become infatuated with him. There should be plenty of pitching on waivers, so be ready to move on when the opportunity is there.
