Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
MIL: Barnes gets 1st opp w/Knebel on the DL & it was a disaster (though most not of his doing) as he allowed 4 R (2 earned) on 3 H/2 BB over 0.2 IP. It will be interesting to see who gets next opp, but w/committee talk it may never have been Barnes #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

HOU: Working 2nd straight day, Giles faces 3 batters (0.2 IP/1 H). Still has not yet registered a SV (was bypasses once) + has had two sub par performances. It's fair to have concerns right now #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

COL: Davis w/BSV (1.0 IP/1 R/2 H/1 BB/1 K) & has now allowed R in back-to-back outings. Entering the year we were concerned about HR (1 HR) and control (2 BB over 4.1 IP) so worth watching closely #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ATL: Vizcaino struggles in L (1 R/1 H/3 BB/1 K/0.2 IP) & now has 6 BB over 3.2 IP. That could ultimately drive him from closer's role w/A.J. Minter waiting in the wings. Change could come sooner than we think… #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: Parker enters in 7th & struggles (1.1 IP/2 R/2 H/1 BB/1 K). At this point there's little reason to think it won't be Middleton who gets next SV opp #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CHC: Morrow earns 1st SV allowing 1 H/2 K. Interesting that he had faced just 1 batter prior to this appearance, but obviously there's nothing to read into. #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAD: Working in non-SV Jansen gets 1st K and scoreless appearance of season, but does allow 2 H. Over 3.0 IP owns 12.00 ERA with 4 H/2 BB/1 K. It was a step, but he still doesn't look like his dominant self yet #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CIN: Big question about Iglesias was usage & after getting SV (1.0 IP/1 H/1 K) he hasn't gotten more than 4 outs in any of his 3 appearances. That's key & will allow him to work back-to-back days (eliminating some risk) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

OAK: Treinen called on for 6 outs & delivers (2.0 IP/0 R/2 H/0 BB/4 K). It was a strong rebound performance & there's no reason to think he's going to lose role any time soon #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYM: For 2nd time this season Familia called on for more than a 3 out SV and delivers (1.2 perfect IP, 1 K). Over 6.0 IP he owns a 0.00 ERA and 0.83 WHIP, as well as 6 K. Remember the whispers of the Mets sharing the role? You can forget them #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) April 8, 2018
KC: Herrera w/perfect IP for SV as he continues his impressive start to the year (3.1 IP/1 H/0 BB/6 K).A solid closer, the big question is if he might be traded to a contender before the year is out #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) April 8, 2018
SF: Strickland works clean IP while Dyson (0.1 IP/1 R/2 H) & Watson (1.2 IP/2 H/1 BB/1 K) have less than stellar outings. Strickland has the potential to entrench himself, even if Melancon can get healthy #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) April 8, 2018
STL: Norris gets SV allowing 1 H/3 K. Impressive outing and maybe he steals you another SV or two, but it shouldn't be long before Greg Holland arrives & takes the role #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

I have Viscaino and Minter in my 12 team points league. Think I should drop Viscaino and pick up Middleton?
Vizcaino is still the closer, so I can’t recommend dropping him.
That said, Middleton is a must grab IMO (but I’d find another way)
