Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
CLE: It was another failure for Allen, who took BSV allowing 3 R/4 H/1 BB over 0.2 IP (was asked to get 5 outs). Now has 6 BB in 3.2 IP & has allowed R in 3 of past 5 outings. Don't push panic button yet, but w/Miller returning has to be watched #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

PHI: Neris fails to record an out en route to BSV (2 R/2 H/2 BB). It's not going to cost him role as he had been pitching well, but he does have 1.46 WHIP & feels like he has one foot out the door. Hunter needs to be scooped up if searching for SV #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SF: It was a tough outing for Strickland (2 R/2 H/1 BB/1 K) but he did get SV. He has now allowed R in back-to-back outings & w/Watson looming it's fair to be concerned. That said he should remain in role & we'd expect a bounce back #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TB: Called on in tie game despite throwing 33 pitches (2.2 IP) the previous two days, Colome ends up w/L (1 R/1 H). Considering the recent workload it's hard to find fault w/him. Continue to view him as being "back" for now #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CHC: Morrow shaky (1 H/1 BB/1 K), but escapes w/o allowing R. Over his last 2 (he's struggled (2 R/3 H/2 BB/2.0 IP) & likely just short-term issue. He's been so good, don't get worked up #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

MIN: Rodney w/perfect IP for SV. Suddenly has back-to-back perfect IP & feels safe (at least for the short-term). Does that mean he's going to last the full season? Of course not, though we said same thing in '17 #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
MIA: Looked like Ziegler wasn't going to be needed, but when Tazawa struggled he stepped in for final 2 outs to get SV. Ziegler continues to feel like he'll get replaced, but for now there's no indication that the decision is close to reality #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
TOR: After struggling his last time out Osuna steps up & gets SV (1 H/1 K). While he hasn't developed Ks we'd have hoped for (13 K over 15.1 IP) he remains one of the better options in the league #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
KC: Herrera continues to thrive as he earned his 7th SV while lowering his ERA to 0.66. Role is obviously safe, but also likely to be moved prior to July 31. That's going to make him risky, because could be viewed as setup option #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
OAK: Treinen gets into trouble (1 H/1 BB) but gets SV. Bigger surprise is Trivino (perfect IP) working 8th. He owns a 0.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP & 11 K over 10.2 IP and is worth watching as potential next up option #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
COL: Davis gets day off (had thrown 2 straight) so Ottavino steps in for SV (1 H/1 BB/3 K). We all knew Ottavino is next up, so no real news here though #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
STL: Interesting to see Gregerson used in 6th inning, despite Norris being banged up. Hicks (perfect IP) also used ahead of Holland (1 K). Don't read into the situation yet, but inevitable Holland gets another shot at role #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
ARI: Went back to Hirano (7th), Bradley (8th) & Boxberger (9th). No reason to think a change is coming (Boxberger got SV w/1 H/1 BB/3 K), but continue viewing Bradley as next up for now #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
WAS: Doolittle strong in non-SV for W (perfect IP/2 K). As long as he's healthy he's going to be among the elite, and as of today he's clearly healthy #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
SD: Does anyone remember when there were concerns surrounding Hand? Yesterday he had perfect IP (3 K) & has put those early season issues far into his rearview mirror. #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 7, 2018
CWS: Jones allows HR to put team further in hole. May not mean much, outside of give Soria slightly more leeway in closers role #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
