Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
SF: Strickland implodes in non-SV (1 R/2 H/2 BB) to take L. It’s 2nd time in his past 3 that he’s allowed a R, but both were non-SV. He’s 10-for-12 in SV (last BSV was 4/18) w/2.74 ERA & 1.09 WHIP. Job is still 100% safe, even when Melancon returns #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

HOU: Day after Giles imploded he was back out there in 9th (though non-SV) w/Devenski working 8th. Shows that he’s still “the man”, at least for now, but the leash is short #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYM (1/2): After Lugo blew lead in 8th the Mets brought him back for 9th, in an apparent effort to save Familia for Game #2. It cost them, as Lugo blew his 2nd lead of the day & took L (3 R/3 H/1 BB/1.1 IP) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYM (2/2): Lucky for Mets they did need Familia in Game 2, and he delivered 2.0 perfect IP (3 K) for SV. He’s had his bumps, but there’s little doubt that the job is his indefinitely #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

MIN: Rodney struggled (1 R/3 H/3 K/1.1 IP) but did get SV. Those are first R he allowed in over a month (4/26) and he’s allowed just 5 H/3 BB over 10.1 IP in May. There’s no concerns #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 29, 2018
LAD: It appears Jansen truly is “back” w/perfect IP & 2 K for SV. He now has 7 K over his past 3.0 IP and 15 K over 14.0 IP overall in May. We’ve been waiting for the Ks, and here they are #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 29, 2018
ATL: Minter struggles & takes L (3 R/4 H/0.2 IP). Over past 6 he’s allowed 5 R on 12 H/2 BB over 5.2 IP so been real rough stretch. Wouldn’t be surprise if Winkler considered “next up” if Vizcaino needs night off #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 29, 2018
PIT: While appears Vazquez avoided injury, still telling Rodriguez used w/team trailing 5-0. He also struggled (2 R/4 H) which could help to entrench Santana as next up if needed #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 29, 2018
SEA: As expected Colome (1 H/2K) works 8th & Diaz (1 BB/1 K) works 9th for SV. Barring needing a day off, expect this setup to continue, meaning Colome will have little value outside of HLD leagues #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 29, 2018
CWS: Fry had become a hot name & he still could rise to the closers role at some point, but he stumbled yesterday (1.0 IP/2 R/3 H). Not a big issue, but over past 2.2 has allowed 5 H/1 BB/1 K. Jones should be safe (for now) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 29, 2018
PHI: Dominguez continues to roll (perfect 1.1 IP/3 K), but will he get any opps moving forward Garcia may have taken name of out running allowing 2 H/2 R w/0 getting out)? Possible, and maybe he emerges from crowded field but who knows #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

Unrelated topic – sorry
Which side of Piscotty for JBJ trade do you like? JBJ seems to be hitting the ball a bit better.
I dn’t love either, but I’d lean Piscotty
