Not arguing the point, but do you know how many of those Rodney appearances were in non-save circumstances? Not sure it makes a difference, but Rodney has a history of walking a tightrope, but generally performs in save situations.

Agreed but he’s also not the answer for 2019 regardless. Makes sense for them to give Hildenberger an opportunity, assuming they plan on competing, so they know not to spend on a closer in the offseason

  2. SadMetsFan says:

According to ESPN Fantasy news, Romo is day-to-day due to an illness. That’s why he wasn’t called upon for the save, supposedly.

Seems like some kind of bug is spreading through the league right now.

Thoughts on Scott Alexander’s long term value in a SV/H league? Considering dropping Steckenrider for him since he’s been more consistent with fewer walks

Have you heard anything on Giles? Any chance he’s back for HOU this year? Or do you think they straighten him out at AAA and try to use him as a trade chip? Trying to figure if he’s worth holding in a keeper league.

Also, with the latest on Viz, what do you see for him next year?

    • Rotoprofessor says:

Will we see Giles again? I’d be surprised if we didn’t, but he won’t be closing.

AS for Vizcaino they are saying he’s weeks away but should be back. If Minter or Winker steps up, he may not return to closers role though
