Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
TEX: Leclerc lights out (perfect IP/2 K) en route to 2nd SV. Key for him will always be his control, but he now has 1 BB over past 7.0 IP & 3 BB over past 14.0 IP. If he continues like this, he's going to rise into borderline Top 10 option #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAD: Alexander struggles for 2nd straight outing taking BSV/L (4 R/4 H/0.2 IP). It was Baez called on to get final out & but w/Stripling moving to bullpen could he ultimately settle into role? Monitor the situation closely #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: Parker pitches 10th w/4 R lead & yields a solo HR. He's now allowed a HR in 4 of past 9 and has 10 HR allowed overall. Have to think his rope is short & Anderson could soon get a look in role #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

STL: Norris implodes & takes BSV (2 R/3 H/1 BB/0.1 IP). It's only his 4th BSV of the season so it's hard to get too worked up about it. w/Carlos Martinez moving to bullpen there will be speculation, but Norris has earned ample rope #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYM: It's Gsellman's turn for SV opp & he delivers (perfect IP)/ w/Lugo struggling in 8th (2 R/2 H/1 BB/1 K) you would think Gsellman has chance to run w/role (6 straight scoreless apps) but it's hard to trust them to do so #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

WAS: Glover called on for 9th in tie game & promptly allows a walkoff HR to the 1st batter he faces. Could this actually devolve far enough that Holland gets short-term chance to close?! Doolittle can't return quick enough #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SF: Smith continues his rebound & earns SV (1 BB/1 K). He's now had back-to-back strong showings after a pair of poor ones, and that should ease any concerns of him losing his role when Strickland returns #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

KC: Peralta bounces back from poor outing (in a non-SV) to earn 7th SV (1 BB/1 K). He's a perfect 7-for-7 in SV opps so he's obviously safe in the role for now. Given control issues in past, though, can we bank on him to continue? #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

OAK: Wasn't perfect outing for Treinen (2 H/3 K) as he allowed 3 inherited runners to score (Familia walked 3 before being lifted). That said he earned SV and continues as one of the elite in the game #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) August 14, 2018
CWS: Both Gomez (2 R/2 H/1 BB/2 K/1.1 IP) & Minaya (3 R/3 H/2 BB/1 K/0.2 IP) struggle in late game action. The bullpen is a complete disaster & considering how few opps there are should be avoided all together #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) August 14, 2018
NYY: Britton allows R for 3rd time in past 4 (5 ER/6 H/3 BB/3.2 IP over this stretch) & you have to wonder if it'll be Betances as next up should team need alternative to Chapman #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

Would it be Stripling or Maeda getting the save opps?
If they are going to go that direction, I’d lean towards Stripling but time will tell. Sounds like Jansen may be back sooner than expected, which will make it irrelevant
