Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
ATL: Interesting to see Winkler get SV (1 H/2 K) after Minter imploded his last time out. Reports have latter nursing a sore back, but could open door for Winkler to at least create committee situation. Stash him if you need SV just in case #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TB: Interesting to see Alvarado called on for SV (1 BB/2 K) instead of Romo. Matchups likely a lot to do with it, but shows you that Romo may not be locked into the role. If you are desperate, stash Alvarado & see how it plays out #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

MIL: This time it was Hader (2.0 IP/3 K) setting it up for Jeffress (1 H/1 BB/1 K/SV). Clearly Hader was the more impressive reliever but both will likely share role until Knebel is able to regain it (likely team's hope) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CLE: Allen earns SV but in ugly fashion (1 R/2 H/1 BB). He had been pitching better of late (2.16 ERA in August) so job should be safe. That said, w/Hand pitching even better (1.13 ERA in August) you never know. #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAD: Jansen returns much quicker than expected only to implode (2 R/3 H/L). Hopefully its just a small bump & he's able to rebound the next time he takes the ball #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

STL: Norris continues to roll (3 K/1 BB/SV). Long had been speculation of Hicks taking over, but there appears to be no chance of that happening in 2018 #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) August 21, 2018
TOR: Giles w/perfect IP for 4th straight SV (1 R/1 H/0 BB/4 K). Don't want to say he's 100% safe but clearly pitching better and finding form. Considering the alternatives it appears like he holds the job the rest of the way #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SEA: Not that there was any concern, but Diaz bounces back from BSV for lights out performance (perfect IP/2 K/SV). He's the elite of '18 and nothing is going to change that #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

Who do you like for more save chances Jeffress or Herrera. Need to replace Rondon.
Herrera in the short-term, because they have no other options
Jeffress or Steckenrider? I’m leaning Jeffres at the moment.
If you need SV I’d go Steckenrider
need to replace Rondon
Who do you see as a better option ROS
Peralta
Winkler
Gsselman or Lugo
Fry
Thanks
I’d rank those: 1. Gsselman 2. Fry 3. Peralta 4. Winkler. Just based on current role stability and “stuff”.
If you are looking for SV it’s Peralta, because he’s the actual closer for his team at the moment. After that, I’d go….
Gsellman
Winkler
Fry
