Mets-Phillies already postponed
According to Bart Hubbach of The New York Post (click here for the post), the Mets vs. Phillies game scheduled for 3:55 this afternoon has already been postponed, as Tropical Storm Hanna gets set to hit the East Coast. The game will be made up tomorrow, at 2:15, with Pedro Martinez vs. Jamie Moyer. The game scheduled for 8:05, pitting Johan Santana vs. Cole Hamels, is unaffected.
What this means for owners in daily formats is that u have time to change your line-up and slot in a player who will actually be playing today. It’s not often that you get that opportunity with a rain out.
Additionally, the A’s and Orioles, who were scheduled for a doubleheader today, have already had the first game postponed according to an AP article on The Star Tribune’s website (click here). There is a chance of the second game, scheduled for 7:05 (it was a day-night doubleheader) does get played, but that’s only it “the rain subsided by early evening”. It certainly is worth keeping in mind.
