Hitter of the Week:
After missing time on the DL, it was unknown if there would be playing time for Edwin Encarnacion when he returned to the line-up. The Blue Jays offense was clicking, with Fred Lewis at the top and Jose Bautista raking, so where he fit in was anyone’s guess. Travis Snider’s trip to the DL took any doubt out of the equation and Encarnacion’s fantasy owners are happy it did as he absolutely raked over the past week. Most of the numbers are impressive, like his .368 average, 7 R and 11 RBI. They all take a back seat to his 6 HR, a number that solidified his spot for this award.

- Ben Zobrist – Tampa Bay Rays – .500 (14-28), 2 HR, 7 RBI, 7 R, 3 SB

- Michael Young – Texas Rangers – .483 (14-29), 2 HR, 7 RBI, 5 R, 1 SB
- Kevin Youkilis – Boston Red Sox – .409 (9-22), 4 HR, 10 RBI, 8 R, 0 SB
