Four Point Play: Highlighting DFS Targets For 11/16/16

by Will Overton

There are 11 games on tap tonight, including all three of the big price tag guys in Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Anthony Davis. We also have King James, the Warrior crew and many more big name guys. With this many games you really have to do your homework and find the best plays, and we’re going to help you out best we can. We are breaking down the top three plays of the night for us and also hitting on some bonus notes:

DeMar DeRozan – SG – Toronto Raptors vs. Golden State
I am all in on DeMar DeRozan at this point and I will be using him yet again tonight. DeRozan has fallen under 40 Draft Kings points just one time all season and in his last three games he is averaging 50.7 Draft Kings points. Thus far the Warriors do not have the same defensive grit that they did last season and DeRozan should be able to make some things happen against them. The price tag is going up for DeRozan, but the next tier options aren’t all that appealing at shooting guard and at $8,600 you can still fit another higher priced player with DeRozan without completely breaking your team.

Jamal Murray – PG/SG – Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns are giving up more points than any other team in the league, currently allowing an astounding 115.6 PPG to opponents. The Suns are also the third worst team in the league in terms of three-point shooting percentage allowed to opponents. So clearly a stack of Nuggets players, along with some Suns players, is a nice strategy for tonight. One of the guys I am really keying in on for Denver is Jamal Murray at $3,700. Gary Harris is out, Will Barton and Wilson Chandler are questionable and Murray should be in line for big minutes and a pretty big role in the offense too. I think Murray could blow away his $3,700 price tag with his production.

Joel Embiid – C – Philadelphia 76ers vs. Washington Wizards
I don’t care about the minutes restriction, I care about production and what Joel Embiid does in 24 minutes of action blows away what other big men are doing in their 30 – 35 minutes. Embiid is a monster and he’s already the focus of the 76ers offense. Embiid is averaging 18.0 PPG, 7.3 RPG and 2.3 BPG, as well as 33.3 Draft Kings points per game. The Wizards matchup is a nice one and at $6,100 Embiid should be very much worth the price you will pay for him.

Bonus Notes for the Night

  • One of the other matchups I like tonight is the New Orleans vs. Oralndo game, more so on the New Orleans side since Orlando is a bit of a mess. In a GPP I am good taking a gamble on Terrence Jones at $4,700 coming off a big game earlier this week. Jones has been incredibly hit or miss so far this season, but the Magic are exploitable and Jones has the talent to put up fantasy points. E’Twaun Moore could be another interesting name if he is at full strength and playing.
  • While we’re on the topic of high risk/high reward players to use in a GPP, Dario Saric is a nice option at $4,500. Saric has been putting up at least 20 fantasy points in each game lately, but he has the upside to drop 40 in the right matchup, and I’ve already said I like the Sixers against the Wizards tonight. Saric’s ability to do a little of everything gives him good value and he’ll be in most of my GPP lineups tonight.
