Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
TB: Doesn't It feel like they want to frustrate fantasy owners? It was Pagan getting 1 out in 7th, Alvarado in 8th (perfect IP) & Castillo earning SV (1.0 IP/1 H/1 K). All could have value and are worth owning, but not can be trusted if goal is SV #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: Buttrey worked 8th (1.0 IP/1 R/2 H/2 K), with Robles being held for SV opp. The opp didn't come (Angels tacked on) & Robles also had a bump (1.0 IP/1 R/2 H/1 BB). That said this deployment makes you think Robles better play for now #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TEX: Leclerc gets work in a blowout and still can't work a clean IP (1 H/1 BB/1 K). He's not going to be removed from the role, not off of this, but he may only need one blowup in order to get the hook #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

MIA: Anderson w/another impressive performance (1.1 IP/3 K). He's now had strong back-to-back outings w/5 K over 2.2 IP, putting a rough patch in terms of HR behind him. He's worth stashing as potential closer in waiting #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ATL: Minter called on but again got into trouble (0.1 IP/2 H) and was lifted in favor of Jackson (0.2 IP/SV). Winkler is someone to watch as candidate, though he allowed HR in 6th. Maybe Jackson (2.57 ERA/15 K/14.0 IP) steps up? Worth watching #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

HOU: Pressly gets the SV (1 H/2 K) as Osuna was given the day off (24 pitches day before, 40 pitches over three days). It's not a surprise that he's next up and is among best setup men in league, but there won't be many opps #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

MIN: Parker delivers in SV opp (perfect IP/2 K), with Hildenberger working the 8th. He hasn't given up a run since 3/30 and while there has been some question he should be viewed as the best option (at least for now) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SF: Smith worked in a non-SV to get some work and struggled (3 R/3 H/1 BB/1 K). It's certainly frustrating but it has no bearing on his role moving forward. He's about as safe as there is, at least for now #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

STL: Gant gets final out after Leone turns it into a SV opp. Don't read anything into it, as Hicks had already been used for the final out in the 8th but was pulled after the Cardinals tacked up #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) April 29, 2019
OAK: An ugly outing for Treinen, allowing 4 ER /5 H/2 BB over 1.2 IP. It's frustrating, of course, but does it really alter the opinion? Everyone is going to have the blowup but he's proven to be among the best options in the league #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) April 29, 2019
LAD: Another day another SV for Jansen, though he made this one interesting (1 H/1 BB/2 K). Sure he didn't allow a R but since April 12 he's allowed 6 R/8 H/2 BB over 9.1 IP. He's safe, he's just not the same pitcher he once was #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) April 29, 2019
CWS: Colome locks down SV (1 BB/2 K) and while Herrera is worth keeping on eye on, just in case, this is one situation where there's no doubt as to who "the man" clearly is #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) April 29, 2019
NYM: Another impressive outing from Diaz (perfect IP/1 K). He "only" has 8 SV, but if he pitched for a team that provided more opportunities he'd be in the running for the league lead again (0.84 ERA). He's the elite of the elite #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
