Bullpen Notes: April 5, 2019: Forget About Reyes?, Clarity In TB/Phi? & More

Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):

  1. Have you heard any rumblings on the Kimbrel front? He’s burning me in my bench but I truly had believed he would be signed by now

    • Only mild rumor I’ve heard is the Mets keeping in touch, but I don’t buy into anything happening there anyway

  2. Re: STL – at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jordan Hicks for a 2 inning save if the Cards have the lead in the 8th. Neither Reyes nor Miller look like they can handle even a set up role right now – forget about being closers.

And Hicks’ stuff looks fantastic outside of one outing where I think pitch selection hurt him as much as hits did. Yelich is really the only guy I’ve seen really square him up and he had to go opposite do it.
