Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
BOS: Is it interesting that Hembree earned SV (1 H/1 K)? He worked in 9th in last appearance, albeit in a non-SV, so it's worth noting. No guarantee that he emerges as "the man" considering the seeming preference for committee, but worth stashing #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TB: After back-to-back poor outings it's Pagan for SV opp & he delivers (perfect IP/2 K). With Alvarado & Castillo both on the IL it would appear that Pagan will be the favorite for SV opps (at least for now) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

WAS: Doolittle charged w/BSV after he combined with Rodney (2 R/2 H/0.2 IP). The former did get a W (1.1 IP/2 H) as he remains the only trustworthy option in the Washington bullpen (don't be surprised if they acquire a true next up shortly) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ARI: Holland get SV but allows HR in the process (1 R/1 H/1 K). He's now allowed runs in 4 of his past 5 appearances, and while this likely won't cost him role (since he didn't take BSV) his grip on the role is getting very dicey #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

OAK: It was once again Hendricks who converted SV opp (1 H/1 K). It will be interesting if they use break to get Treinen back into role, but for now hold onto Hendricks until Treinen shows that he deserves job again #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CWS: Bummer allows a HR (1 R/1 H/1 BB/2 K/2.0 IP) but gets HLD ahead of Colome (1 H) who earned SV. It remains to be seen if Colome is dealt ahead of the deadline, but Bummer remains the next up & is well worth owning in most formats #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

PHI: Neris allows 1 R/2 H/1 BB in non-SV. Obviously it doesn't have a big impact on the overall outlook, but he has now allowed HR in 2 of his past 4 outings. He's locked into the role, but it's worth monitoring in case this continues into 2nd half #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ATL: It was an ugly outing (3 H/1 BB) but Jackson somehow kept Marlins off the board & locked down SV. Minter continues to loom as potential committee partner, but Jackson has been rolling of late so no change is imminent #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TEX: Kelley gets the W in an extra inning game (2 H/2 K/2.0 IP). There will continue to be speculation about Leclerc returning to role, though he struggled as the opener (1.2 IP/1 R/3 H/1 BB/1 K). For now Kelley is "the man" and that's not changing #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: Bedrosian (1.0 IP/4 R/4 H/1 BB/1 K) & Buttrey (1.0 IP/2 R/4 H/1 K) combined to blow big lead before Robles settles game down (2.0 IP/1 H/3 BB/1 K). Not that there was any question about role, but Robles is the locked in man #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SF: Dyson works 8th (1 H/3 K) ahead of Smith (1 H/SV). Is he the favorite for opps should Smith be traded? It's possible, though he too could be dealt prior to the deadline. Expect it to be more of a committee approach in short order #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) July 8, 2019
PIT: Vazquez locks down 4 out SV (2 H/1 K). He's among the elite w/the only risk coming as a long-shot trade candidate (though that seems unlikely) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) July 8, 2019
SD: Working for the 3rd straight day Yates again did the job (1 K/SV) to give him 30 SV & 1.15 ERA. Is there any doubt that he's a Top 3 option (and arguably the best closer in the game right now)? #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

RP: There’s been discussion on whether LAA sells some pieces, which made me wonder does LAA trade Robles with Middleton coming back? Thoughts?
It’s possible, but I’m not sure they’d get enough of a return to really make it worth it for them (especially as a team that always seems to be looking for RP help and you know will be looking to compete in ’20)
Speaking of LAA, how do you feel about Justin Anderson? 8 K’s over 3.1 IP with 2 HLD this week. Also, Kolarek of TB has put up impressive numbers lately, albeit without SV/HLD.
Anderson could rise into a prominent setup role, but he’s not overtaking Robles any time soon
As for Kolarek, it’s always hard to read what TB is going to do. Nothing would surprise me
