Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet ut all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
MIN: Rogers gets SV for 2nd straight day as May works 7th & Parker part of 8th (0.2 IP). It would appear that Rogers has emerged as "the man", at least for now, as he has SV in past 4 apps. Consider him must own #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAD: Just when we start applauding Jansen he implodes, allowing 2-run HR for BSV/L. It was his first stumble since May 5 so it hardly is a concern, just a frustration (especially for those who owned Buehler) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ATL: His defense didn't help, but Jackson takes BSV/L allowing 2 unearned runs. He now has 6 BSV and has allowed R in four straight appearances. Minter worked 7th (2 K), but would it really be surprise if he got back into 9th mix? #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: The Angels chose to DFA Cody Allen, giving closure to a situation that should've already had it. Buttrey worked the 8th with Robles earning 10th SV (1 K). The former is the clear next up but the latter is locked in for the foreseeable future #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYM: Diaz gets SV but once again struggles (1 R/3 H). Since May 29 things have been ugly, allowing 8 R/14 H/2 BB over 6.2 IP. He should find himself, at some point, and remains a solid option. At same time he's clearly not the elite we expected #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CLE: Hand gets 20th SV (1 H/2 K). His name has surfaced in trade rumors, and it makes sense w/team struggling, but they also should have playoff aspirations in '20. With that in mind, does dealing him really make sense? It wouldn't seem so #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TEX: Leclerc worked 8th (2 K) w/Kelley getting SV (perfect IP). While ultimately former should get another opportunity to close out games, it's going to take time before we get back there. #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

BOS: Walden gets 7th (1 H/2 K), Barnes works 8th (1 H/1 BB/3 K) to both get HLD. Tack on runs cost SV opp but it was Workman who still worked 9th (1 BB). Does that mean he gets next opp? Of course not, as this remains convoluted committee #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

PHI: Neris w/strong rebound (perfect IP/SV). You knew it would take more than one stumble to remove him, especially given injury issues, and Neris' role is 100% for the foreseeable future #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) June 16, 2019
MIA: Anderson gets 8th (1 BB/2 K) before Romo needs 7 pitches for SV. Romo is locked into the role of closer, and possible he keeps it all year as team looks to develop & have a veteran to lean on (as opposed to getting minimal return) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SF: Smith gives up HR but earns SV (1 R/2 H/2 K). Frustrating but meaningless, as the only way he loses the role is if he's traded. Watson again got 8th & will be closer candidate, along w/Melancon & Dyson, if a move is ultimately made #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CHC: Strop gets SV (2 K/1 BB), though we all know it's just a matter of time before his value disappears w/the arrival of Kimbrel. Squeeze every drop out of value out of him before it's too late #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
