Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
ATL: Newcomb gives up R earlier in game (1 R/2 H/1 K/1.1 IP) while Jackson dominated in extras (1 H/3 K/2.0 IP/W). Is it enough to bring clarity to situation, tough? Not likely, as this should remain a committee (at least for now) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

DET: While his defense was part of issue (5 unearned R allowed), Greene still gave up a HR & charged w/BSV (2 H/2 BB/0 K). It was his first BSV of season & there's little reason for concern, barring potential for trade at some point #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

BAL: Givens loses control to take L (1 R/1 H/3 BB). Just when you think he's locked in he shows this side of him & brings doubt. Still best shot at SV, but how many opps will there actually be? He's not a must own option at this point #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

MIA: Romo w/perfect IP for 9th SV. After taking BSV (w/2 unearned R), he's tossed back-to-back perfect IP. The Marlins have some intriguing emerging arms (Guerrero/Anderson), but for now it's Romo's role until he is traded or implodes #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

PHI: Neris gets SV but it wasn't pretty (1.1 IP/1 R/2 H/1 BB/2 K). Obviously there's no concern (1st ER allowed since 4/25), especially w/Dominguez pitching himself out of mix for now. Continue to role w/him #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: Allen struggles in non-SV (2 R/3 H/1 BB/1.1 IP), so those hoping he'll return to closers role need to realize it's not coming any time soon. For now view Robles as the favorite w/Buttrey also in the mix #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYY: With Chapman unavailable (44 pitches over previous three games) it's Britton called on for SV. He did job and has now gone 9 straight apps w/o allowing a R (6 H/1 BB over span). He appears to be next up, though won't be many opps #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 24, 2019
NYM: After talk of Diaz being used for more than 3 outs, Mets let Gsellman blow lead (3 R/3 H/1 BB/2 K) only to take lead back & get Diaz SV anyways (perfect IP/2 K). We'll see if Mets ultimately alter approach, but regardless Diaz remains elite #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

Hey Prof,
I have Matt Barnes and made a snap decision the other night and picked up Walden when I saw them use Barnes in 8th and Walden in 9th. I know this is such a messy situation but can you rank Barnes, Walden, Workman and Brasier in terms of who has the best chance of getting saves? I figured owning both Walden and Barnes is a good idea since they may see save chances and both have good ratios so far this season. Thanks in advance, keep up the great work and enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!
I’d go Barnes / Walden / Workman / Brasier, but he knows!
