Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
LAA: Just when it looked like Robles had a stranglehold on the job he implodes (2 R/3 H). He now has BSV in 2 of his past 3 outings, and w/Buttrey pitching well (1.27 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 35 K, 7 BB) it seems like a change could come quick #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TEX: Kelley again got the job done, but he made it interesting (1 H/1 BB/1 K). Leclerc operated as the opener, but how long will it be before he assumes the closers role? Since returning Kelley allowed 3 R/7 H/2 BB & may be just a matter of time #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SEA: Elias credited with 1st BSV (2 R/2 H/1 BB/0.2 IP) though he was summoned for the 8th. Adams continues to thrive ahead of him (1.1 IP/1 H/3 K) & is quickly emerging and could get an opportunity before long #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYM: It was an epic implosion from Diaz, who allowed a pair of HR en route to a BSV/L (4 R/5 H/1 BB over 0.1 IP). There have been some concerns, including a 1.30 WHIP. He should remain among the elite, but this is a huge knock #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

BAL: Givens was brought into the 7th and was credited with a BSV after allowing a game-tying HR. He's out as a closer, could get traded and even if he sticks can he work his way back into the 9th? It's impossible to believe in him #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
OAK: It was non-SV, but another stumble from Treinen (2 R/2 H/1.0 IP). He's now allowed runs in 4 of his past 8 outings, though only 1 BSV (and no L) in this stretch helps to keep him 100% safe (though that doesn't mean there isn't concern) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
CHC: Just when you thought Cishek would be removed from the role he delivers a perfect IP for SV (1 K). His role isn't necessarily safe, especially w/Strop closing in on a return, but until that happens Cishek is worth owning #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
TB: Alvarado charged w/BSV (1 R/2 H/2 BB) after failing to record an out. He was working the 8th and has now allowed runs in 3 of past 6 outings. It doesn't rule him out as option, since sit is unpredictable, but he's hardly trustworthy right now #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
KC: Pitching in a non-SV Kennedy takes a L (1 R/2 H/1 K). How many opps the Royals are going to provide remains to be seen, but there's a good chance Diekman ultimately takes over role & runs with it #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
CLE: Hand gets a gift SV (0.2 IP), after a pair of other reliever make it interesting. We all know he's among the better options in the league, so fantasy owners just need to say thank you and enjoy #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
MIA: Romo gets SV but extremely shaky (1 R/2 H/1 BB), while Guerrero tossed an impressive 8th (2 K/HLD) and Anderson was perfect in 7th (W). For now it's Romo's role, at least until the Marlins cash in for a prospect #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
CWS: Colome rolls to another SV (1 H/1 K). The thought was Herrera could push him at some point, but he struggled again (2 R/2 H/1 BB) & Colome has emerged as one of the safest options in the league #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
COL: Oberg delivers SV as he fills role while Davis is sidelined (1 BB/2 K). He's now 1-for-2 in converting opps since Davis' injury & barring another misstep soon he should roll w/the job until Davis is healthy #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 30, 2019
DET: Just a ho hum SV for Greene (1 H/2 K), who now owns a 1.13 ERA and 18 SV. There's always going to be the risk of a trade, which could clear the way for Jimenez to get opp, but we said the same thing last year & a deal never came #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

Professor,
Time to drop Robles for Buttrey?
Thanks
I’m not sure I’d drop Robles yet, but I’d look to own both if possible
