Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
TEX: After Kelley got the 1st SV post-Leclerc it was Martin yesterday, w/perfect IP (1 K). Frustrating for those who invested in Kelley, but it may be more of a sign that no one will emerge improving Leclerc's chances to regain role #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ATL: Minter brought in for 7th and he implodes again (2 R/3 H/2 BB/0.1 IP). While this could remain part of a committee, Jackson suddenly looks like the best bet for SV opps and is a must own in all formats #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ARI: Holland took his 1st BSV (1 R/2 H/1 BB/1 K) and has now stumbled in back-to-back outings (2 R/3 H/3 BB). It makes the situation worth watching, but there's no risk for now (and don't read into Godley getting SV in lengthy extra inning game) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

BOS: It was interesting to see Barnes brought in for the 9th, on the road, in a tie game. Generally teams save their "closer" for a potential SV opp, so prove this is still a committee & possibly new name in mix (Hembree got SV w/3 K) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: Allen struggles in first appearance off DL (2 R/2 H/1 K), and while some may have wanted to believe the injury caused the issues that doesn't appear to be the case. For now Buttrey/Robles will continue to man the 9th until someone truly emerges #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CHC: w/Strop hitting DL Cishek had another shot at SV but allowed inherited R to score (1 H). The most impressive outing was from Edwards (2 K) who got W & could quickly emerge as he's impressed in 2 outings since return from AAA #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SD: Yates makes it interesting (1 H/1 BB/3 K), but gets the job done. It continues a string of shaky outings, though it's still too early to raise any red flags. He remains among the elite, though we'll have to watch closely #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 9, 2019
MIL: Hader grabs rare "short" save, allowing 1 BB/2 K over 0.2 IP. He's up to 10 SV and while he will continue to be used in a non-traditional role he should see the bulk of the opps (with Guerra/Jeffress also mixed in) #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 9, 2019
MIN: Parker used for 9th in a blow out, a day after Rogers gets SV. Considering the formers 1.54 ERA and being a perfect 6-for-6 in SV opps there's nothing to read into here. It'll remain a committee that will likely frustrate us #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 9, 2019
PHI: Nice to see Dominguez used in 9th, even in a non-SV (perfect IP/1 K). Of course he's now way near close to pushing Neris for the role, but he still has the upside if he can string together a few strong outings #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 9, 2019
OAK: After injury scare nice to see Treinen on the mound and thriving (2.0 IP/2 K). It ends any concerns about his health and he should continue to be viewed among the elite #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) May 9, 2019
CLE: Hand gets the W with a perfect IP. Just another ho hum performance from one of the best #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

Hey Prof,
If you had to guess when do you the Biggio will be called up? Is there any reason they have not called him up yet? I have him in my minor league spot and have Mallex Smith and Kieboom on my bench so that’s a lot of minor leaguers haha. I’m hoping that Smith gets called back up soon but I will probably have to make a decision on Biggio and Kieboom soon. Btw this is a keeper league and both Biggio and Kieboom would be eligible keepers for me. Thanks in advance!
Let’s not forget that they were conservative with Guerrero last year, frustrating owners. I would guess Biggio is up some time in June/around the All-Star Break but that’s hardly a given
Would you drop Biggio to hold onto Kieboom if a spot was needed? Or do you suggest holding both if possible?
I’d hold both if possible, but I actually prefer Biggio of the two
