Are you following @Rotoprofessor on Twitter? If not you should be, as we Tweet out all the important bullpen notes every morning from the previous day’s games. Who is in jeopardy of losing their job? Who is worth the speculative add? Here are this morning tweets (Please note we won’t be posting these on the website every day, so make sure you follow @Rotoprofessor to ensure you don’t miss a thing):
DET: Day after Melancon implodes in non-SV (28 pitches) it's Greene called on & delivers (perfect IP/2 K). He's been thriving of late & it's possible he's re-installed into role moving forward. Maybe it was usage driven, but Greene must stash #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

TEX: Leclerc makes it interesting (1 H/1 BB/1 K) but he ultimately locks down SV. He's been putting way too many base runners on lately (5 H/4 BB over past 4.0 IP), & control constant issue. With Clase rising, could he get opps before year end? #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

ARI: Ginkel gets W (2.0 IP/2 BB/3 K) before Bradley makes it interesting but gets SV (2 H/1 BB/1 K). Over his past 3.2 IP the latter has allowed 2 R/6 H/4 BB & while there haven't been BSV yet he's a ticking time bomb. Stash the former just in case #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

COL: With a SV opp it's interesting that it's Diaz who gets the call & delivers (perfect IP/1 K). It's not like he's been great this year (4.37 ERA), but you can argue that he's the best of the worst. If you are desperate you can grab him and see #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

SF: Smith stumbles (1 R/1 H/1 BB/2 K) but gets SV. He's now allowed R in 4 of his past 7 appearances, but is 3-for-3 in SV opps in his past five games. In other words, unless he starts taking BSV he should continue on the role without question #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

NYM: Just another implosion for Diaz (2 R/2 H/3 K/BSV) as he allowed another HR (14 HR in 52.0 IP). He's found the strikeout stuff, but it's unlikely he gets another opp. Lugo is "the man" when healthy & Wilson/Brach could also be in mix #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

CWS: Bummer (2 R/1 H/1 BB) & Colome (1 R/1 H) combined to blow the game in the latter innings. It's frustrating for fantasy owners, but in the scheme of things it's meaningless. They are locked into their respective roles #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

DET: Jimenez locks down SV w/strong appearance (1 H/1 K). He's had his stumbles of late, including allowing R in 4 of 7 appearances, but the team doesn't have many potential replacements. At this point he's worth using as a CL3 #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

LAA: Robles impressive in W (2.0 perfect IP/3 K). It's been some time since he's gotten a SV, but that's purely been opportunity driven. He's emerged as a solid option & is locked into the role for at least the rest of the season #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) September 7, 2019
KC: Kennedy does the job and locks down SV. While he's had some bumps he's clearly recovered and emerged as a solid option. Considering his contract for 2020, don't be surprised if he's locked himself into role for next year as well #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers

PIT: Vazquez locks down 4 out SV allowing 2 H/3 K along the way. It's interesting that the team kept him in after tacking on R in the 8th, as they could've saved him for another day, though workload hasn't been an issue of late. He's among the best #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) September 7, 2019
STL: Miller brought in for 7th & implodes (3 R/3 H over 0.1 IP). While there had been the thought that he could share some time w/Martinez in 9th, that's clearly not the case. This is Martinez' job outright, and he's settled into it nicely #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) September 7, 2019
TB: Pagan gets SV, despite 5 R lead, as rest of bullpen made it interesting. He's emerged as one of the best closers in the game & likely will be among the Top 10 as we enter into 2020 #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
— Rotoprofessor (@Rotoprofessor) September 7, 2019
HOU: Just a ho hum SV for Osuna (perfect IP/1 K). It's possible the Astros don't push him as much over the final few weeks, as they prepare for a deep October run, but we all know he's one of the best #MLB #FantasyBaseball #closers
