There is not official word, but according to George A. King of The New York Post (click here for the article), the Yankees have recalled Chris Britton from Triple A. Why is this important? As King points out, baseball rules state that unless it is as an injury replacement, players must be down in the minors for at least 10 days. Britton has been down for less then 10 days, so unless another pitcher is injured, something is up.
As we reported yesterday, Chamberlain was scheduled to visit with Dr. James Andrews today, certainly not a phrase people want to hear. As soon as we hear anything about his condition, we will let you know, but at this point it would at least appear like he’s going to be out at least 2 weeks.
