Kat O’Brien of New York Newsday (click here for the post) has revealed that Joba Chamberlain is suffering from “rotator cuff tendinitis in his right shoulder”. The current plan is for him to “rest for a week and then resume a throwing program”.
That’s got to be considered good news, but I’m a little surprised that the Yankees were so secretive. Time will tell how quickly he is able to return to the mound, but this has got to be considered good news, considering the fears people had. Just sit tight on him at this point.
