A few odds and ends for everyone:
- David Price made his Triple A debut, according to Marc Topkin of The St. Petersburg Times (click here for the post). Given his prior performances, it wasn’t quite what people had expected, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits over 4 innings. I wouldn’t worry about him, to be honest.
- According to The Miami Herald (click here for the article), the San Francisco Giants made a whole hose of roster moves today, bringing up three young players: Pablo Sandoval (catcher/infielder), Ryan Rohlinger (3B) and Travis Ishikawa (1B). Gone to make room for them are John Bowker and Steve Holm, who were sent back to Triple A, while Jose Castillo was designated for assignment. I will take a look at these three young players a bit more closely tomorrow, so check back for that in the afternoon.
- Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News (click here for the post) is reporting that the Rangers have set their rotation as follows: “Tommy Hunter (Thursday), Kevin Millwood (Friday), Matt Harrison (Saturday), Vicente Padilla (Sunday)”. Padilla was pushed back due to a cortisone shot.
- Susan Slusser of The San Francisco Chronicle (click here for the post) is reporting that the A’s have placed Ryan Sweeney on the DL due to “a sprained right thumb”. Eric Patterson was brought back from Triple A to replace him on the roster.
