It’s that time once again to get things rolling for the RotoProfessor Readers and Writers Fantasy Football League. This will be our third year and each of the first two years it has proven to be a competitive and fun league for all who have been involved.
If you’re looking for a challenge a bit bigger than the one you get with your friends then step up and take on the RotoProfessor staff and other loyal readers who are just as hardcore about fantasy football as you are.
Signing up for league is easy. If you’re up for the challenge all you have to do is shoot an e-mail to email@example.com with your name, e-mail address and why you want to be in the league. You also have to be willing to commit to being available for the draft on Thursday August 27 at 8:00 PM EST. With a league like this we want a full draft room and no autopilots.
Are you up for the challenge?!
It’s that time of year… It’s time to start discussing the Rotoprofessor 2015 Fantasy Baseball Draft Guide!!! The guide is currently available for pre-order for just $6.
The first improvement to the 2015 version of the guide, as we will be projecting FIP and LOB% (strand rate) for all pitchers! It’s just a little bit more information to help you prepare and dominate your league this year.
Like in past years, the guide will first be released between January 1 and January 15 (I will know a more solid date as we get closer) and you will then receive updates about every two-to-three weeks from the release date until the start of the season. Also like in year’s past, the draft guide is just going to get bigger and better!
For those who have never experienced the guide, it is delivered through e-mail as an Excel spreadsheet and also includes:
- Over 500 player projections (including some of the top prospects in the game)
- Top 400 Overall (because 300 just wasn’t enough)
- 2-page cheat sheet, perfect to take to your draft
- The Rotoprofessor Staff’s quick take on every player projected
- Expanded Rankings (i.e. Top 30 Catchers, Top 125 Starting Pitchers)
- Top 50 rankings for Corner Infielders & Middle Infielders
- Projected lineups and rotations
- Top 50 Prospects for 2015 (Prospects who can make impact in ’14)
- Top 5 Prospects for 2015 by team (Prospects who can make impact in ’14)
- Auction Values (including NL/AL-Only)
- Multiple Position Eligibility Chart
- Closer Chart
- Top 25 Sleepers for 2015
- 15 Players Likely to be Overdrafted in 2015
Make sure you keep checking back for more details and be sure to reserve your copy of the guide early!

Those expecting a Travis Kelce breakout were surely disappointed, which has been a continuing trend all season. It seems Andy Reid just doesn’t want to comply with the wishes of fantasy owners! So far the story has been a maddening lack of usage, but with Anthony Fasano sidelined Sunday, many expected Kelce to finally get the targets and opportunity to become a bona fide TE1. Instead we saw a run-heavy approach by the Chiefs resulting in another dominant Jamaal Charles performance. Bottom line: If you’re not already, get used to Kelce as a boom-or-bust pick every week. By the way, who else remembers Charles carrying fantasy teams late last season? Giddy up.
That’s right, as of today we are going to be full steam ahead towards Week 1 coverage. We will kick off our weekly rankings with our Top 25 quarterbacks this morning, as well as all of the other great features (Start/Sit, Streaming Defenses, etc.)!
We hope that everyone had great drafts and are ready to dominate, but if you need some help in bolstering your lineup or if it’s just tough decisions on your weekly lineup, let the Rotoprofessor staff help you! We appreciate your support and couldn’t do this without you!
Good luck to everyone and let’s get rolling towards 2014 Fantasy Football success!
The first of August is nearing and that means Fantasy Football Season is upon us. Last season we launched our first ever RotoProfessor Readers League and it was a huge success. We had such a great response last season that we are looking to step it up in year two and have three leagues so that more of our readers can participate. Each league will feature at least one if not more writers from the RotoProfessor staff as well as a number of readers.
We will have one standard league, one PPR league and one IDP league which will feature 0.5 PPR as well.
If you want to participate in one of these leagues all you need to do is send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and reserve your spot today. In the e-mail I need your full name, e-mail address and a brief one or two sentence explanation for why you want to complete in one of the leagues. I also need you to specify your league preference by ranking your preferred league to play in 1 – 3 with 1 being the league you’d most want to compete and 3 being the league you’d least like to compete in.
So get on it and start signing up now!
