Week 10 Rankings (2017): Top 20 Tight Ends

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

Tight end continues to be one of the most frustrating positions to try and fill.  You had better hope that you have one of the elite options, or even a solid one that you can depend on for a few points each and every week.  If you are forced to settle for a desperation play, whether it’s due to bye weeks or injury, puts you at risk of taking a goose egg (and many learned that this past week).  Who are the players we can depend on for Week 10?  Let’s take a look:

  1. Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots – at Denver
  2. Evan Engram – New York Giants – at San Francisco
  3. Kyle Rudolph – Minnesota Vikings – at Washington
  4. Jimmy Graham – Seattle Seahawks – at Arizona
  5. Delanie Walker – Tennessee Titans – vs. Cincinnati
  6. Tyler Kroft – Cincinnati Bengals – at Tennessee
  7. Cameron Brate – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – vs. New York Jets Read more

Week 10 Rankings (2017): Top 25 Quarterbacks

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

Injuries have played a significant role in the quarterback landscape, but they are not the only think wreaking havoc.  There have been numerous quarterbacks across the league whose performance has struggled (like Eli Manning), though others have stepped up and emerged as viable QB1 (like Josh McCown and Jared Goff).  How does it all come together, along with the bye weeks, for Week 10?  Let’s take a look:

  1. Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks – at Arizona
  2. Tom Brady – New England Patriots – at Denver
  3. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys – at Atlanta
  4. Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – at Buffalo
  5. Matthew Stafford – Detroit Lions – vs. Cleveland
  6. Tyrod Taylor – Buffalo Bills – vs. New Orleans
  7. Josh McCown – New York Jets – at Tampa Bay Read more

Week 9 Rankings (2017): Top 15 Kickers

by Ray Kuhn

Don’t underestimate the kicker position. I know I sound like a broken record, but I certainly wasn’t thinking that as I watched Matt Prater convert field goal after field goal Sunday night. Getting all those points from your kicker is always a great feeling.  Trying to find the right kicker, really this is true for any position this season, is an inexact science. However, that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to try. Let’s take a look at how this week’s options rank:

  1. Jake Elliot -Philadelphia Eagles – vs. Denver
  2. Will Lutz – New Orleans Saints – vs. Tampa Bay
  3. Greg Zuerlein – Los Angeles Rams – at New York Giants
  4. Harrison Butker – Kansas City Chiefs – at Dallas
  5. Matt Prater – Detroit Lions – at Green Bay
  6. Ryan Succop – Tennessee Titans – vs. Baltimore
  7. Ka’imi Fairburn – Houston Texans – vs. Indianapolis Read more

Week 9 Rankings (2017): Top 15 Defenses

by Ray Kuhn

Last week was ugly from a weather perspective, but it appears things will be better for Week 9. Thanks to the state of some of the offenses around the league there are plenty of opportunities to pick from, though the bye weeks do help to limit the streaming pool. Let’s take a look at how our options rank and the best situations to capitalize on:

  1. Philadelphia Eagles – vs. Denver
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars – vs. Cincinnati
  3. Houston Texans – vs. Indianapolis
  4. Buffalo Bills – at New York Jets
  5. Detroit Lions – at Green Bay
  6. Arizona Cardinals – vs. San Francisco
  7. Seattle Seahawks – vs. Washington Read more

Week 9 Rankings (2017): Top 50 Wide Receivers

by Will Overton

This is the second week in a row of the killer six team bye week and things aren’t much brighter than they were for Week 8. We’ve lost some top end talent (and injuries don’t help either), but we’re still going to break it down for you as you figure out how to best cover the absences. Here is how I have the Top 50 shaking out:

  1. DeAndre Hopkins – Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis
  2. Julio Jones – Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina
  3. Michael Thomas – New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay
  4. Mike Evans – Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans
  5. Dez Bryant – Dallas Cowboys vs. Kansas City
  6. Doug Baldwin – Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington
  7. A.J. Green – Cincinnati Bengals @ Jacksonville
  8. Michael Crabtree – Oakland Raiders @ Miami Read more

Week 9 Rankings (2017): Top 20 Tight Ends

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

We continue to face significant questions about the tight end position, and injuries and bye weeks further muddy the waters.  It puts that much more importance on having an elite option and we’d be 100% comfortable with any of the Top 5 players on our rankings this week.  After that?  It’s a roll of the dice, to say the least.  Let’s take a look:

  1. Zach Ertz – Philadelphia Eagles – vs. Denver
  2. Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs – at Dallas
  3. Jack Doyle – Indianapolis Colts – at Houston
  4. Jimmy Graham – Seattle Seahawks – vs. Washington
  5. Evan Engram – New York Giants – vs. Los Angeles Rams
  6. Jared Cook – Oakland Raiders – at Miami
  7. Delanie Walker – Tennessee Titans – vs. Baltimore Read more

Week 9 Rankings (2017): Top 40 Running Backs

by Ray Kuhn

If you were looking for things to get easier this week, it simply isn’t going to happen. Six teams are on bye once again, leaving fantasy owners without LeVeon Bell, Melvin Gordon or Jordan Howard, so we will have work that much harder. At this point, there isn’t much on the waiver wire and everyone is fighting the same battle. With that in mind let’s take a look at how our options rank:

  1. Todd Gurley – Los Angeles Rams – at New York Giants
  2. LeSean McCoy – Buffalo Bills – at New York Jets
  3. Leonard Fournette – Jacksonville Jaguars – vs. Cincinnati
  4. Kareem Hunt – Kansas City Chiefs – at Dallas
  5. Mark Ingram – New Orleans Saints – vs. Tampa Bay
  6. Devonta Freeman – Atlanta Falcons – at Carolina
  7. Lamar Miller – Houston Texans – vs. Indianapolis Read more

Week 9 Rankings (2017): Top 25 Quarterbacks: Questions, Questions & More Questions…

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

There are questions hovering all across the quarterback position as we head into Week 9.  There are six teams with their bye week…  There are injuries causing questions (like for Joe Flacco and Jay Cutler)…  There is potential change on the horizon…  Oh, and just for fun there was a major shakeup with the 49ers acquiring a new starting QB (the only question is if he’ll be ready to play in Week 9 or not).  How does this all shake out?  Let’s take a look:

  1. Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks – vs. Washington
  2. Deshaun Watson – Houston Texans – vs. Indianapolis
  3. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys – vs. Kansas City
  4. Alex Smith – Kansas City Chiefs – at Dallas
  5. Carson Wentz – Philadelphia Eagles – vs. Denver
  6. Kirk Cousins – Washington Redskins – at Seattle
  7. Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – vs. Atlanta Read more

Week 8 Rankings (2017): Top 15 Kickers

by Ray Kuhn

Roster spots are crucial and should be treated with respect and the utmost of care. We only get so many and they have to account for injuries, upside, poor performances and bye weeks. That is why carrying anything more than one kicker is just crazy. It comes into play this week as there are multiple kickers that need to be replaced. If you have an extra player to drop in order to preserve Greg Zuerlein, that is understood, but beyond that you should just be replacing your existing kicker. Let’s take a look at how they rank this week:

  1. Stephen Gostkowski – New England Patriots – vs. LA Chargers
  2. Harrison Butker – Kansas City Chiefs – vs. Denver
  3. Stephen Hauschka – Buffalo Bills – vs. Oakland
  4. Josh Elliot – Philadelphia Eagles – vs. San Francisco
  5. Justin Tucker – Baltimore Ravens – vs. Miami
  6. Will Lutz – New Orleans Saints – vs. Chicago
  7. Kai Forbath – Minnesota Vikings – at Cleveland Read more

Week 8 Rankings (2017): Top 15 Defenses

by Ray Kuhn

This is one of those weeks that we really aren’t working with much. Six teams are on bye, and you might have to work a little harder to find either a replacement or value if DFS is your game. We also need to note that touchdowns are extremely unpredictable, i.e. Chicago last week, and trying to forecast them is a fool’s errand. Let’s take a look at how our options rank:

  1. Minnesota Vikings – at Cleveland
  2. Philadelphia Eagles – vs. San Francisco
  3. Cincinnati Bengals – vs. Indianapolis
  4. New Orleans Saints – vs. Chicago
  5. Kansas City Chiefs – vs. Denver
  6. Baltimore Ravens – vs. Miami
  7. Atlanta Falcons – at New York Jets Read more
