Week 6 Rankings (2018): Top 40 Running Backs

by Ray Kuhn

Just as we get Mark Ingram back from suspension, he is gone this week as the Saints are one of the two teams on bye. This also means fantasy owners must make due without Alvin Kamara, but other than that it’s a relatively quiet week at the position. That doesn’t mean we are without injury, questions or indecision, but it’s simply the normal frustrating decisions that we face and nothing out of the ordinary. With that being said, let’s take a look at how our options rank this week:

  1. Todd Gurley – LA Rams – at Denver
  2. Saquon Barkley – NY Giants – vs. Philadelphia
  3. Melvin Gordon – LA Chargers – at Cleveland
  4. Kareem Hunt – Kansas City Chiefs – at New England
  5. Christian McCaffrey – Carolina Panthers – at Washington
  6. Ezekiel Elliot – Dallas Cowboys – vs. Jacksonville
  7. James Conner – Pittsburgh Steelers – at Cincinnati Read more

Week 6 Rankings (2018): Top 25 Quarterbacks

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

With five weeks in the books we now have a solid knowledge of the fantasy football landscape.  For the most part our preseason questions have been answered, and while there are always going to be questions (things in the NFL are always evolving) we have a good idea as to where the value lies.  Who are the quarterbacks we can trust?  What are the matchups we should be looking to exploit?  Let’s take a look at how things look as we head into Week 6:

  1. Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons – vs. Tampa Bay
  2. Tom Brady – New England Patriots – vs. Kansas City
  3. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs – at New England
  4. Deshaun Watson – Houston Texans – vs. Buffalo
  5. Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – vs. San Francisco
  6. Andrew Luck – Indianapolis Colts – at New York Jets
  7. Carson Wentz – Philadelphia Eagles – at New York Giants Read more

Week 5 Rankings (2018): Top 15 Kickers

by Ray Kuhn

With just two teams on bye this week, Tampa Bay and Chicago, things shouldn’t be too difficult for fantasy owners at the kicker position. Of course some kickers and match-ups are better than others, but at least you aren’t competing with half your league to find a replacement. Let’s take a look at how our options rank for this week:

  1. Stephen Gostkowski – New England Patriots – vs. Indianapolis
  2. Justin Tucker – Baltimore Ravens – at Cleveland
  3. Matt Bryant – Atlanta Falcons – at Pittsburgh
  4. Harrison Butker – Kansas City Chiefs – vs. Jacksonville
  5. Caleb Sturgis – LA Chargers – vs. Oakland
  6. Chris Boswell – Pittsburgh Steelers – vs. Atlanta
  7. Mason Crosby – Green Bay Packers – at Detroit Read more

Week 5 Rankings (2018): Top 15 Defenses

by Ray Kuhn

Unfortunately for this week the Bears aren’t available to fantasy owners, but that doesn’t mean we are without options. After all Buffalo will be taking the field, so there is the potential for at least one explosive performance (Tennessee is the lucky opponent). As we begin to take a look at Week 5, it appears that we have a few potential high scoring games on the slate, but there are also some situations that could be primed to exploit. Let’s take a look at how our options rank for this week:

  1. Tennessee Titans – at Buffalo
  2. Carolina Panthers – vs. NY Giants
  3. New England Patriots – vs. Indianapolis
  4. Baltimore Ravens – at Cleveland
  5. San Francisco 49ers – vs. Arizona
  6. Denver Broncos – at NY Jets
  7. LA Rams – at Seattle Read more

Week 5 Rankings (2018): Top 50 Wide Receivers

by Will Overton

After being overlooked by most fantasy players in the first couple rounds of their drafts, wide receivers are coming out making a huge impact in 2018. While running backs seem to be letting owners down more than not, wide receivers are putting up points in bunches. There have been one or two top end disappointments, but for the most part the guys who should be producing are and we’ve also got the emergence of some new faces. Let’s get to work breaking down our Week 5 rankings at was is quickly emerging as an extremely deep position:

  1. Antonio Brown – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Atlanta
  2. Julio Jones – Atlanta Falcons at Pittsburgh
  3. Michael Thomas – New Orleans Saints vs. Washington
  4. DeAndre Hopkins – Houston Texans vs. Dallas
  5. Odell Beckham Jr. – New York Giants at Carolina
  6. A.J. Green – Cincinnati Bengals vs. Miami
  7. JuJu Smith Schuster – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Atlanta Read more

Week 5 Rankings (2018): Top 40 Running Backs

by Ray Kuhn

Here we are for another week of disappointments and tough, and potentially wrong, choices. Muddling through your options at running back isn’t exactly easy, but at least we have clarity, at least for the next few weeks, in Pittsburgh (Le’Veon Bell isn’t returning until Week 8) and Jacksonville (Leonard Fournette should be out a few weeks now paving the way for T.J. Yeldon) with Mark Ingram, Devonta Freeman and potentially Joe Mixon returning.

Unfortunately there are many more questions than answers, but what’s new? Let’s take a look at how this week’s options rank:

  1. Todd Gurley – LA Rams – at Seattle
  2. Alvin Kamara – New Orleans Saints – vs. Washington
  3. Christian McCaffrey – Carolina Panthers – vs. NY Giants
  4. Melvin Gordon – LA Chargers – vs. Oakland
  5. Ezekiel Elliot – Dallas Cowboys – at Houston
  6. David Johnson – Arizona Cardinals – at San Francisco
  7. James Conner – Pittsburgh Steelers – vs. Atlanta Read more

Week 5 Rankings (2018): Top 20 Tight Ends

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

Injuries…  Injuries…  Injuries…  All fantasy football owners have to deal with them, but has any position been hit harder thus far than tight end?  This week we saw a few more potential Top 10 options go down, with Tyler Eifert and Will Dissly being lost, many are left to get creative out the spot.  Who is a good gamble to take?  We may dig deeper into that later this week, but for now let’s take a look at our rankings heading into Week 5:

  1. Zack Ertz – Philadelphia Eagles – vs. Minnesota
  2. Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots – vs. Indianapolis
  3. Jordan Reed – Washington Redskins – at New Orleans
  4. Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs – vs. Jacksonville
  5. George Kittle – San Francisco 49ers – vs. Arizona
  6. Jared Cook – Oakland Raiders – at Los Angeles Chargers
  7. Kyle Rudolph – Minnesota Vikings – at Philadelphia Read more

Week 5 Rankings (2018): Top 25 Quarterbacks

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

The NFL season always seems to fly by, doesn’t it?  It feels like the season just started, but we’ve already reached the quarter mark and we have enough data to alter our preseason assumptions.  Who has emerged as a must play option?  Which defense should we be exploiting and which should we shy away from?  Who is simply too good to sit, regardless of the matchup?  Those things, as well as injuries, all play a role as we set our rankings for Week 5:

  1. Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons – at Pittsburgh
  2. Tom Brady – New England Patriots – vs. Indianapolis
  3. Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – at Detroit
  4. Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – vs. Washington
  5. Carson Wentz – Philadelphia Eagles – vs. Minnesota
  6. Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – vs. New York Giants
  7. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs – vs. Jacksonville Read more

Week 4 Rankings (2018): Top 15 Kickers

by Ray Kuhn

Trying to figure out the NFL through the first three weeks has proven to be challenging at times. While there are clearly some kickers who are better than others, their production is also team and match-up dependent. Let’s take a look at how our options rank:

  1. Stephen Gostkowski – New England Patriots – vs. Miami
  2. Chris Boswell – Pittsburgh Steelers – vs. Baltimore
  3. Matt Bryant – Atlanta Falcons – vs. Cincinnati
  4. Harrison Butker – Kansas City Chiefs -
  5. Justin Tucker – Baltimore Ravens – at Pittsburgh
  6. Sam Ficken – LA Rams – vs. Minnesota
  7. Matt Prater – Detroit Lions – at Dallas Read more

Week 4 Rankings (2018): Top 15 Defenses

by Ray Kuhn

With three games under our belt we can begin to feel a little more confident in our judgments of both opposing offenses and fantasy defenses. Of course it is the NFL and things can, and should be expected to, change each week, but we can only go off of what we know… Or think we know. With that being said, let’s take a look at how your options rank for the upcoming week:

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars – vs. NY Jets
  2. Green Bay Packers – vs. Buffalo
  3. Chicago Bears – vs. Tampa Bay
  4. Philadelphia Eagles – at Tenneseee
  5. LA Rams – vs. Minnesota
  6. Seattle Seahawks – at Arizona
  7. LA Chargers – vs. San Francisco Read more
