by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

Obviously the big news coming out of Week 14 was the loss of Carson Wentz, though Josh McCown was also lost for the season.  The potential return of Aaron Rodgers helps, but with many leagues moving into their semifinals the injuries are a significant blow.  Who are the actual good plays?  Is there a solid streaming option to target?  Let’s take a look at the rankings heading into Week 15:

Week 14 Rankings (2017): Top 15 Defenses

by Ray Kuhn

The good thing about streaming defenses as we reach the playoffs is that it gets easier. Not necessarily the decisions, in fact it gets harder as the stakes become more serious. What does work in your favor is that there is less competition for the week’s top options. Let’s take a look at how the defenses rank for this week:

  1. Cincinnati Bengals -  vs. Chicago
  2. New England Patriots – at Miami
  3. Green Bay Packers – at Cleveland
  4. Los Angeles Chargers – vs. Washington
  5. Pittsburgh Steelers – vs. Baltimore
  6. Minnesota Vikings – at Carolina
  7. Buffalo Bills – vs. Indianapolis Read more

Week 14 Rankings (2017): Top 40 Running Backs

After the marathon trip through the regular season we have finally reached the fantasy playoffs. I wish I could say that things are going to get easier, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Picking the right option seems like a thankless task, but you don’t have a choice. 2. LeSean McCoy – Buffalo Bills – vs. Indianapolis
  3. Alvin Kamara – New Orleans Saints – at Atlanta

Week 14 Rankings (2017): Top 20 Tight Ends

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

Rob Gronkowski was primed to sit atop these rankings, but a one-game suspension will cost him the game.  That hurts fantasy owners as it takes one of the few dependable options off the table.  He’s not the only tight end we may be without, unfortunately, as Zach Ertz may not be cleared to return.  If we are without both of them, where should fantasy owners look?  Let’s take a look:

  1. Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs – vs. Oakland
  2. Evan Engram – New York Giants – vs. Dallas
  3. Delanie Walker – Tennessee Titans – at Arizona
  4. Hunter Henry – Los Angeles Chargers – vs. Washington
  5. Jimmy Graham – Seattle Seahawks – at Jacksonville
  6. Zach Ertz – Philadelphia Eagles – at Los Angeles Rams
  7. Jack Doyle – Indianapolis Colts – at Buffalo
  8. Austin Seferian-Jenkins – New York Jets – at Denver Read more

Week 14 Rankings (2017): Top 25 Quarterbacks

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

The time is now for many as the fantasy playoffs kick off.  It’s an interesting week as well, with a few of the top quarterbacks drawing difficult matchups (though that doesn’t mean we could imagine sitting them down).  That’s not to say that all of the matchups are concerning, as there are some quarterbacks who appear to be heating up and walking into favorable matchups.  Throw in the “names”, who are never easy to value, and there are many landmines to maneuver through.  Let’s take a look at who we should be trusting:

  1. Tom Brady – New England Patriots – at Miami
  2. Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks – at Jacksonville
  3. Carson Wentz – Philadelphia Eagles – at Los Angeles Rams
  4. Alex Smith – Kansas City Chiefs – vs. Oakland
  5. Josh McCown – New York Jets – at Denver
  6. Philip Rivers – Los Angeles Chargers – vs. Washington
  7. Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons – vs. New Orleans Read more

Week 13 Rankings (2017): Top 15 Kickers

by Eric Stashin (aka The Rotoprofessor)

No one wants to let a kicker ruin their season, do they?  With every decision looming large as the fantasy playoffs grow near, it would be easy to overlook the position and instead focus on your wide receivers or running backs or quarterbacks.  That could prove costly, though, so let’s take a look at the potential options for Week 13:

  1. Stephen Gostkowski – New England Patriots – at Buffalo
  2. Will Lutz – New Orleans Saints – vs. Carolina
  3. Greg Zuerlein – Los Angeles Rams – at Arizona
