  • It has been a frustrating year if you own A.J. Green with the injuries and sporadic play. He seems to be set on finishing strong for fantasy owners though. Green has 18 catches and 248 yards the last two weeks after starting slow. Green should continue this strong performance this week against the Tampa Bay Bucs secondary. Green is still an elite talent and it’s coming out on the field again now.
  • That catch last week by Odell Beckham Jr will be imprinted in football fans minds for a long time. It’s not hyperbole to call it one of the greatest catches ever. Beckham is so much more than just that one catch though, he’s a really special football player who is just starting what’s going to be a great career. In the last four weeks Beckham has 31 catches and 503 yards with a pair of TD’s both scored last week. I could see the Jags and Giants getting into a shootout and another big game is likely in store for Beckham.
  • So far this season Roddy White has still only hit 100 yards once, and that was hitting 100 yards right on the nose. White has still been consistently solid, scoring three TD’s in his last five games and he has 37 catches in those five games too. Maybe White doesn’t have the same kind of flashy upside as some of those ahead of him, but he is so consistent that he has to be used in all standard leagues.
  • There are a lot of rookie wide receivers doing a lot of big things right now in the league. Because of all the success of these rookies Jordan Matthews seems to be getting overlooked, but that’s a big mistake. Matthews has four TD grabs in his last four games and 322 yards in his last three games with 18 catches in those three games. Recently Matthews has been pushing Jeremy Maclin for top dog in Philly, and maybe that has to do with Mark Sanchez being under center, but he is a legitimate starting fantasy receiver.
  • Speaking of rookies who are being underrated, Jarvis Landry is doing big things in Miami right now. Landry has four TD in his last four games, including two last week against Denver. Landry also has 24 catches in these four games, and even though he isn’t racking up the yards in the slot, he’s clearly becoming a favorite target of Ryan Tannehill. Since joining the Dolphins Tannehill has always liked his slot receivers and Landry seems to be no different.
  • Out of nowhere Charles Johnson has surfaced as the go to guy in Minnesota. Johnson has led the Vikings in targets the last two weeks with 18 and played almost the entire game this last Sunday. Johnson caught just three balls against the Packers, but one of them was a TD grab and he was still targeted 11 times in the game. There is some big play potential in Johnson and right now he’s the only Vikings receiver I’d want to be using.

Julian Edelman, Martavis Bryant, and Mike Wallace. Pick 2 to start this week.

  2. steven says:

I can start 3. Josh gordon, Calvin johnson, EMMANUEL sanders and O’Dell beckham. Who do I start.

  3. Zach says:

I have a minor dilemma in choosing who to play at FLEX in Week 13. Torrey is my usual FLEX starter. Sammy Watkins has been my WR2, but is struggling the past few weeks while Torrey Smith has been pretty consistent. So I am thinking of replacing Sammy with Torrey and slotting Tre Mason as the FLEX given his matchup with the Raiders this week. Thoughts?

  4. S – I’d go Wallace & Edelman. They are all siimilar, but these three are safest

steven – Johnson, Gordon & Beckham. Tough to sit Sanders, but you are loaded

Zach – I’d def. use Mason or this week. If you aren’t comfortable with Watkins, just sit him for Smith (though it’s hard for me to trust Smith)
