Week 12 Rankings: Top 15 Defenses
With the Saints and Patriots squaring off, neither find their way into the Top 15 for Week 12. So, who takes the place? Let’s take a look:
- Philadelphia Eagles - vs. Washington
- Green Bay Packers - at Detroit
- Cincinnati Bengals - vs. Cleveland
- Dallas Cowboys - vs. Oakland
- Baltimore Ravens - vs. Pittsburgh
- San Diego Chargers - vs. Kansas City
- Minnesota Vikings - vs. Chicago
- Atlanta Falcons - vs. Tampa Bay
- Pittsburgh Steelers - at Baltimore
- Seattle Seahawks - at St. Louis
- Carolina Panthers - at New York Jets
- San Francisco 49ers - vs. Jacksonville
- Indianapolis Colts - at Houston
- Miami Dolphins - at Buffalo
- New York Giants - at Denver
Thoughts:
- The Eagles defense has been among the best this season and now get to square off against a Redskins team that will be without it’s top two running backs (Clinton Portis & Ladell Betts). You have to like their chances of posting another solid performance.
- We’re going to find out pretty quickly if Brady Quinn’s “renaissance” was a fluke or if it was for real. The Bengals have allowed the third fewest points in the league, at 167.
- I know the Seahawks defense hasn’t been anything exceptional, but the Rams offense is pretty much one-dimensional, especially with Marc Bulger out of action. They are a solid play in all formats for the coming week.
