Thoughts:
- Ben Roethlisberger appears to be back to full strength, the Steelers are getting ready to play the Browns and this is a must win statement game for the team. All of that means that Antonio Brown is back to the top of this list. He is coming off one of his massive games with 14 catches, 156 yards and a TD, and there is a very good chance he keeps that good energy rolling. He is still the safest and best receiver in the game for fantasy owners.
- Last season in week 10 Doug Baldwin caught three TD passes, and in 2016 he is coming off a three TD performance in week 10 as well. Last season he followed that up with eight more TD grabs in the next four weeks. I’m not here to suggest he’s going to do that again, but I do think he is hitting his stride along with the rest of the Seahawks offense. Russell Wilson seems to be putting his struggles behind him and if he’s clicking it means big thing for Baldwin. The emergence of Jimmy Graham takes a little away, but I think big things are coming.
- Pat Shurmur coming into Minnesota as Offensive Coordinator and installing the west coast offense has done wonders for Stefon Diggs. After starting out hot this season Diggs had started to flounder, but he’s back into the top tiers of receivers. In the last three weeks he has been targeted 42 times, and in just the last two games Diggs has 13 catches per game. The Vikings want to get the ball out quick and that seems to be working out for Diggs, who may not be getting down the field but the numbers are piling up.
- The momentum in Detroit appears to have shifted from Marvin Jones back to Golden Tate, who was thought all preseason to be the guy to own. Tate has 32 catches in his last four games, a TD in two of those games and 79 yards or more in three of them. Marvin Jones is still a legitimate threat and Matt Stafford is looking for him down the field, they just haven’t connected lately. Tate is the safer play of these two and in a PPR league he’s even higher on this list.
- Taking on the Green Bay Packers these days is fantasy gold, just look at what the Titans did last week. This is good timing for the Redskins to be taking them on to, because the team is rolling right now. I am assuming there will be no Desean Jackson again and that means good things for Jamison Crowder who has four straight games in double digits scoring in non-PPR leagues. These last four games include three TD catches and two 100 yard games. Crowder is clearly the Redskins receiver to own right now, but Pierre Garcon is also back in the mix and makes for a nice flex play as the targets and catches have been rolling in lately.
- Are we getting ready to see the breakout run from DeVante Parker? Last week against the Chargers he caught five passes for 103 yards and we saw the potential he has as a deep threat if Ryan Tannehill can just get him the ball. Last season we saw Parker string together several big games in a row at the end of the season, and there’s a chance he may just be hitting his stride once again. He’s still a risky play who is boom or bust, but there’s a really big game coming sooner or later.

Need an opinion on flex; Marvin Jones, Pryor, Crowell, Ryan Matthews, and Gio. Who would you start out of these options. Thanks for the help !
Prof-Need help – what 5 players would you start in standard league (2RB,2Wr,1Flex)?
Lamar Miller,Jonathan Stewart, D. Martin, Theo Reddick, Dez B., Kelvin Ben.,Doug Baldwin, DeAndre Hopkins, Donte Moncrief? Thanks- have to Win!!
Hi Prof,
Please rank J Matthews, Landry, Snead, Woods this week in half PPR.
Thanks.
johnson – I’d lean Crowell, with the team saying they are looking to get him more carries. That said, Johnson may be “safer”
Eric – Miller/Stewart/Martin/Bryant/Benjamin
Chris – Mathews would be top option, depending on back. After that I guess Landry/Snead/Woods
Hello Prof
I could use some help deciding between R. Kelley vs. Packers, J. Howard @ Giants or Cooks @ Carolina? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I would say Howard has a higher upside, but Kelley is the safer choice. Depending on the rest of your team, I’d take the safe route
FLEX in a half-point PPR: Hopkins, Britt, or Prosise?
Q1
QB Week 11
Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson, or Cousins?
Q2
PPR 1 pt
Need 4 from the group below:
RB’s Ayaji, Blount, Latavis Murray
WR’s Evans, Moncrief, Michael Thomas
Q3 Standard
Need one WR and one Flex from the group below:
Wr’s John Brown, Tavon Austin
RB’s R Jennings, Dion Lewis
Q4 Standard
Need 3 from the group below to play with AJ Green:
RB’s Rawls, Gio
WR’s Richard Matthews, Moncrief, Cobb
Hello Prof,
Need your help in deciding who to start on a full point, PPR:
Latavius Murray or Jordan Howard…thank you in advance
Also, for Flex on full point, PPR:
Crabtree/ J. Howard/ Rob Kelley
Thanks
Westie – Hopkins is the safe choice, Prosise is the highest upside (even with Rawls back). I’d probably go safe, though I’m a big Prosise believer
BWAY:
Q1 – Wilson
Q2 – I’m sitting Moncrief/Thomas
Q3 – austin/Jennings (rough!)
Q4 – Moncrief/Cobb/Matthews
GD – I’d go Murray, as there’s a more clarity to his usage. I’d probably use Kelley as the FLEX, as he’s safer, but Howard has the higher upside
moncrief jordan reed or steve smith sr pick 2.. Thanks
hey professor which 2 wr’s would you start in a 1/2 ppr league. cooks, beasly, matthews, hill or britt
also robert wood is available as well
usmc22 – I’m sitting Smith
darrick – Cooks/J. Matthews (if it’s him). Otherwise I’d add Wood
sorry i should of put R.matthew or just add wood
Wood then
I made one mistake
Q4 Standard
Need 3 from the group below (onehas to be a RB) to play with AJ Green:
RB’s Rawls, Gio
WR’s Richard Matthews, Moncrief, Cobb
WR/FLEX Decisions:
A Cooper, J Nelson, D Baldwin, R Matthews
I’m set on Baldwin. Cooper and Nelson have tougher match ups but Matthews and Mariota have been connecting lately and the game against Indy looks to be shootout.
Currently have Baldwin, Cooper and Nelson… stick with it (safer I think) or take a crack at it with Matthews?
BWAY – Bernard/Moncrief/Cobb (I don’t like Bernard much though)
JZ – I’d go that way, can’t count on a TD a week for Mathews
Maclin or Hurns? Don’t know which one to trust.
Thanks Prof.
Actually make that Maclin, Hurns or Cameron Meredith. Meredith has me wanting to start him but I’m not sure I can trust him.
Hey Roto
what do you think about dropping M.Jones for D.Moncrief for the stretch 10 team PPR… Thanks
Gregor – Can’t really trust any of them, but Meredith makes the most sense
Rod – Both should be owned, but I’d want Moncrief more
Hi Prof,
Should I start Hyde or Prosise week 11? I’m in a .5 PPR league. And which RB of the two holds more value rest of season?
Thanks
ROS I’m def. going Hyde. I’d probably lean that way this week too, but in a PPR the case could be made for Prosise (they have been going more bass heavy and Rawls is going to be limited in his first game back)
Already played Cooks and that didn’t go as hoped. I am of course playing Antonio Brown. For my flex should I play Davonte Adams or Terrell Pryor? Maybe a tossup but which one?
I’d trust Pryor ahead of Adams (who is no lock to get a significant workoad)
Rishard Matthews at Indie or Jordan Matthews at Seattle. Standard league. I’m torn. Rishard is hot but td dependent going against a bad secondary. Jordan sees loads of volume but going against a strong Seattle defense.
Help…. meeeeeeeeeee
I’d rather Jordan. As you said Rishard is far too TD dependent, can’t bank on it every week
Hey roto I need one between starks, jordon Howard, Jordan Matthews or Robert Kelly. 1ppr thx
I’d prob. go Kelley, with Howard right there
Do i start J.Edelman or G. Tate as my flex?
With the injuries, I’m rolling Edelman
Its a ppr league
