According to the Philadelphia Daily News (click here for the article):
“Wideout DeSean Jackson missed a meeting yesterday and was told he would not be in uniform for today’s encounter with the Arizona Cardinals at Lincoln Financial Field, a source close to the situation told the Daily News. A team source confirmed the news. “
Jackson has struggled at times this season, managing just 29 receptions. While he’s had a few big games, they have been few and far between. He’s posted less than 50 yards in a game five times this season.
Jeremy Maclin, who has already emerged as the better fantasy option this season, will be the clear top receiver today against an Arizona Cardinals pass defense that is allowing the fourth most passing yards per game at 272.0. Consider him a WR1 in all formats.
Jason Avant should draw the start across from Maclin. In his last two starts he has 14 receptions for 213 yards and should immediately be considered an option as a WR3.
The person who may be the biggest benefactor is Steve Smith, who has struggled to even get looks this season as the team’s fourth receiver (5 receptions for 63 yards). He’s far from a must use option, though the desperate can consider taking a flier on him in three receiver formats. I wouldn’t expect much, as he will still be the fifth option behind Maclin, Avant, LeSean McCoy and Brent Celek, but there is potential. He’s an extremely high risk sleeper.

How would you rank these options at flex in a standard league? Avant, Cribbs, Ogbonnaya, and Breaston? Thanks!
Tough call. Of the wide receivers it is definitely Avant now, putting him up against Ogbonnaya. With how bad Ogbonnaya has been, it really is hard to trust him.
I would probably lean towards Avant at this point, given this morning’s news.
RP Sir. Quick request of your wisdom.
i have G Jennings and AJ Green as my starting WR and have Anquan B on flex. I’m thinking benching Green, moving A Boldin in the starting slot and putting S Greene as my flex.
Thoughts? Thanks!
I actually liked Boldin slightly better then Green heading into the week, so I would definitely use Boldin in the starting lineup.
As for Greene vs. Green… I would go with Shonne, especially with the wind playing a factor in the Cin-Pit game (I do think it’ll have a bigger impact on the Cincy passing attack). The Jets are going to try to control the clock and have been regularly handing Greene the ball. He should be considered a good play and is worth using as the FLEX.
