The end of the road is quickly approaching. For those battling for fantasy titles, who do you trust this week? Who is too risky? How do injuries and matchups play into decisions? Let’s take a look at how it all comes together for Week 15:
- Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – at San Diego
- Robert Griffin III – Washington Redskins – at Cleveland
- Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – at Chicago
- Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – vs. Tampa Bay
- Peyton Manning – Denver Broncos – at Baltimore
- Tom Brady – New England Patriots – vs. San Francisco
- Josh Freeman – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – at New Orleans
- Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons – vs. New York Giants
- Matthew Stafford – Detroit Lions – at Arizona
- Eli Manning – New York Giants – at Atlanta
- Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers – at Dallas
- Andy Dalton – Cincinnati Bengals – at Philadelphia
- Colin Kaepernick – San Francisco 49ers – at New England
- Andrew Luck – Indianapolis Colts – at Houston
- Tony Romo – Dallas Cowboys – vs. Pittsburgh
- Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks – at Buffalo
- Matt Schaub – Houston Texans – vs. Indianapolis
- Brandon Weedon – Cleveland Browns – vs. Washington
- Philip Rivers – San Diego Chargers – vs. Carolina
- Carson Palmer – Oakland Raiders – vs. Kansas City
- Jay Cutler – Chicago Bears – vs. Green Bay
- Joe Flacco – Baltimore Ravens – vs. Denver
- Nick Foles – Philadelphia Eagles – vs. Cincinnati
- Sam Bradford – St. Louis Rams – vs. Minnesota
- Ryan Tannehill – Miami Dolphins – vs. Jacksonville
Thoughts:
- We all want to think that Drew Brees is among the best options this week, and he should be. However, he is on one of the worst stretches of his career. After throwing one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 14, he has nine interceptions in his past three games. Of course, he also takes on a Tampa Bay defense that has allowed 311.6 yards per game, as well as 23 TD. He also torched them in Week 7 throwing for 377 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. While his recent interception struggles has to pull him down a few spots (he likely would’ve sat atop the charts), he’s still going to be among the better options in the league.
- For now we are going to have to wait and see Robert Griffin III’s status for Week 15, though the news thus far has been positive. If he plays, he’s going to be among the best options in the league (as always). Just have a secondary plan, just in case.
- The Chicago Bears offer a tough matchup, though Aaron Rodgers did throw for 219 yards, one touchdown and one interception against them back in Week 2. Additionally, in two matchups in 2011 he had eight touchdowns and just one interception. There’s no reason to down grade him due to the matchup.
- Andy Dalton doesn’t always throw for a lot of yards, but he has been producing overall and draws the recently inept Philadelphia defense. He’s not going to be a must use option, but a borderline QB1.
- The Atlanta Falcons are no easy task, and a struggling Eli Manning may have certainly fallen out of QB1 status. However, the Giants’ dismantling of the Saints in Week 13 keeps him up on the rankings. He threw for 259 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions, and should be considered a low-end option in all formats.
- The Saints’ defense seems to be getting worse and worse. Given how potent Josh Freeman and company have proven to be, it’s impossible not to trust him this week.
- Andrew Luck is showing some rookie inconsistencies, with nine interceptions over his past four games. He’s played extremely well overall and obviously is worth considering, but it’s hard to depend on him with the problems he’s had of late (196 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT in Week 14).
- Nick Foles is coming off a monster week, throwing for 381 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. While the matchup may not be ideal against the Bengals, he’s a viable QB2 in all formats.

couple of quick questions…
need to sit one of these – standard league, up by 25 but the guy has a stacked team. only reason I am up is Sea def…
Moreno
Law Firm
R. Wayne
D. Alexander
Sea or Denver def
Rams/Lions or Browns def
Freeman or Rodgers? I am up by 45 points and have most of the positions beating his guys so looking for the safer play here…
Would I be getting too cute if I benched Romo and picked up/started Weeden?
muddy cleats – The “safer” option among the 4 are going to be the RB, though part of me likes both WR more. That said, it’s Alexander or Green-Ellis for me.
Seattle is my top D this week, so I have to say them
I’d pick the Lions, just because of the matchup.
Freeman has the better matchup, so I’d say he’s “safer”, despite being lower on the rankings.
Andrew – A little bit, though it’s closer then you’d think. If Dez Bryant is out, it would be a little bit more believable, though it depends on your situation. Do you think you need to take a huge gamble?
I was leaning towards Wayne or Green-Ellis. Being in Indy I have seen the last couple of games and it seems Luck is going to Hilton and Avery more on the bigger plays and using wayne as a decoy…plus texas at home is going to be tough.Really hard to sit alexander. Only way I sit ellis is Thursdays’ suck most of the time(except I played Moreno cause it was too good of a matchup)
How are the Eagles defending the run? I don’t pay too much attention to them…
Thanks for all your help…
Rotoprofessor…Eli or kaepernick this week? I’m 90/10 leaning Eli but kaepernick has a great upside…what do you think?
And would you start Bryce brown or johnathon Dwyer with mendenhall getting benched this week?
Thanks!
Oh, I forgot, my RBs are McFadden, B. Brown, and Dwyer if that helps I need two of the three this week.
Rodgers or Freeman this week?
Also, which RB’s would you start this week out of Murray, Richardson, Mathews, D. Williams, & Reece?
Reece could be worth it if McFadden is out again. My WR’s are Boldin, A. Brown, Maclin, & Bowe. My TE’s are Gonzalez & Gresham. What lineup would you choose? (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLex
Important QB decision for semi-finals. 12 team Standard scoring. Leaning towards Dalton over Luck, but could also pick up Kaepernick.
Muddy cleats – that’s fair. Te isse with Green-Ellis is hs nobility to find the end zone and the Agles have only allowed 7 rushing TD. Does limit his upside a little bit, especially since the Agles have been porous through the air of late.
Matt – it is close, but I would go Eli. As for the RB, still tough to trust Dwyer. I’d leave him on the bench.
Steve – Richardson & Murray are the easy top two. I’d go Brown & Maclin at WR, Mathews at FLEX and Gnzalez at Te.
Gamer – I have them all right next to each other, so it really is a coin flip. That said, I would also lean Dalton.
Am I rolling with a banged up RG3 or a Healthy Josh Freeman against an abysmal New Orleans defense?
If RG3 is playing, he’s the guy for me
