Rotoprofessor’s Toughts
The truth of the matter is that the Bills’ don’t have much of a choice with Fred Jackson lost for the rest of the season. That said, Spiller owners have got to be excited by this news.
Spiller is currently averaging 6.6 yards/carry and 10.4 yards/reception. When he has gotten at least 12 carries in a game his worst performance was going for 70 yards. Only once has he ad at least 15 touches and failed to exceed 100 total yards.
This week he will draw a tough Seattle defense, though at least he will be at home (Seattle is a much different team when the are at home). Overall Seattle is allowing 105.4 rushing yards/game, though it was only a few weeks ago that the combination of Reggie Bush and Daniel Tomas combined for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries.
While I wouldn’t call Spiller matchup proof, it is easy to imagine him busting out once again. He may not come in as a RB1, but he has the upside and opportunity to perform like the top back in the league.
In other words, he should be active in all formats.
