2012 Week 15 Fantasy Football Sleepers

by Ryan Lester of www.lesterslegends.com

Sometimes you need a fantasy gem to be successful. Here is a list of LestersLegends’ under the radar players that could possibly pull out a win for you in Week 15.

Carson Palmer, QB, Oakland Raiders
Palmer throws for a lot of yards (292.7 per game) and throws nearly as many touchdowns as interceptions (22 to 14). He has five games with 350-plus yards this year. Palmer is a much better home start, as he has 307.7 yards per game with 15 touchdowns in seven games, compared to 275.2 and seven in six road games. The Kansas City Chiefs have allowed 25 passing touchdowns.

Bilal Powell, RB, New York Jets
Powell is averaging 62.3 total yards and a touchdown in his past four games. He is sharing with Shonn Greene, but has been getting double-digit touches. The Tennessee Titans have allowed 127 yards per game and a dozen rushing touchdowns. There should be enough for Powell to at least be a flex consideration.

Josh Gordon, WR, Cleveland Browns
Gordon is averaging 71 yards with five touchdowns in his last nine games. The Washington Redskins have allowed 289.3 yards per game and 27 passing touchdowns.

Martellus Bennett, TE, New York Giants
Bennett has scored in back-to-back games. I am expecting a shootout against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have allowed 50 yards or a touchdown to a tight end in nine of 13 games.

Rob Bironas, K, Tennessee Titans
Bironas has 24 field goals and 27 extra points. The New York Jets have allowed 20 field goals and 34 extra points.

Detroit Lions Defense
The Lions are an average defensive team, but because the Arizona Cardinals are so bad, I have them as my top defense this week. The Cardinals rank last in total offense (269.5 yards per game) and scoring offense (14.3 points per game). They might as well let Larry Fitzgerald play quarterback. At least he’d get the ball. . . Is C.J. Spiller A Must Start Option For Week 15?

  1. jason says:

Richardson or morris? Garcon, a.brown, or d.moore?

    • With Griffin out, I actually would say Morris for the RB spot, though it is a coin flip.

As for the WR, Garcon was the clear option. If you are worried due to Griffin, Brown is the fallback for me.
