If you are a fantasy footballer who likes to stream his/her defense, let’s take a look at the best options for the NFL’s second week:
Oakland Raiders vs. Jacksonville
The Jaguars offense is pretty bad this season and will be without Justin Blackmon and Blaine Gabbert in Week 2. Yes, Maurice Jones-Drew has the potential to make big plays, but he was hardly impressive in Week 1 and could still be slowed by the Lisfranc injury.
On the flipside, Oakland fared pretty well against the Colts. They held Andrew Luck to just 178 yards while sacking him 4 times. Considering Jacksonville watched their QB get sacked six times in Week 1, that should make for a nice matchup.
Another to Consider:
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis
Miami’s defense may be a bit underrated heading into the season, but after watching the Colts struggle against Oakland they have a chance to go in and make a statement. They forced Brandon Weeden to throw three interceptions and also sacked him six times.
This is a risky play, because Indianapolis’ offense does have the potential to put up some points. At the same time, it could be one worth taking depending on your situation. Miami looked good in Week 1 and could keep the momentum going.
