News from www.sfgate.com is that J.T. O’Sullivan came, he saw, he got moved ahead and named the starter. O’Sullivan, who is with his 7th team since he came into the NFL back in 2000, was picked by coach Mike Nolan to start the season against the Arizona Cardinals in week 1.
Quote: “J.T. will be our starter going into the season,” coach Mike Nolan said in a teleconference with reporters. “He’s got very good command of the offense and played well in all three preseason games, but now it’s time to get ready for the season.”
O’Sullivan, no doubt is having a better preseason than Alex Smith, but is considered a backup caliber quarterback. Be wary of drafting O’Sullivan within your Fantasy Football team.
Alex Smith, who was the number one draft pick by the 49ers in 2005 has been know official tabbed as a draft “bust” and “the most expensive backup quarterback in the NFL”. He’ll be sitting on the sidelines pondering his future until O’Sullivan gives way.
