Stokely not likely to be major force

For those of you considering taking Brandon Stokley, I wouldn’t look to him as anything more then a reserve player at this point, if even that.  Jeff Legwold of the Rocky Mountain News (click here for the article) has a quote from Broncos coach, who says “I think he’s the best slot receiver in the National Football League”.  He went on to say “So I want to make sure we have the right mix for him so he can stay healthy and as productive as we need him to be”.
That has meant not even working him out as an outside receiver.  They team has lined him up exclusively as a third receiver, meaning he’s not going to have as much time on the field.  That doesn’t mean that he’s not going to be productive, but you would not expect him to be worth using in any format.
He played in just 13 games last season (starting 9) and racked up 40 catches for 635 yards and 5 TD.  It’s possible, even in a reduced role, he comes close to those numbers, but there are significantly better options available to you.
